cPanel WordPress Setup: Easy Installation Guide

cPanel WordPress Setup: Easy Installation Guide

Introduction

When you buy hosting and a domain, you need to install CMS on your website according to your needs. Additionally, it’s essential to connect domain name servers (DNS) of Hosting to your New Domain. Without this connection, your Add-On domain won’t be displayed in hosting, and you’ll be unable to install any CMS.

This guide will provide a step-by-step cPanel WordPress Setup, teaching you how to log in to cPanel, connect domain name servers (DNS), and install WordPress on your site. It’s important to note that if you purchase your first hosting and domain from the same provider, you typically don’t need to connect DNS, as it is already done for you. However, for Add-On domains or domains purchased from different providers, following a DNS Configuration for Domains guide is necessary. Let’s dive into these key steps to ensure your WordPress Installation and WordPress cPanel Integration are successful.

Step 1: Obtain Your cPanel Login Credentials

You should receive your cPanel login credentials from your web hosting provider when you sign up for a hosting plan. If you don’t have these credentials, contact your hosting provider’s customer support.

Step 2: Access cPanel

1. Open your web browser.
2. In the address bar, type: `https://yourwebsite.com/cpanel`. Replace `yourwebsite.com` with your actual domain name.
3. Alternatively, you can use the IP address provided by your hosting provider: `https://your-IP-address/cpanel`.

Step 3: Enter Your cPanel Credentials

You will be prompted to enter your cPanel username and password. Use the credentials provided by your hosting provider and click “Log In.”

Step 4: Navigate to the Domain Management Section

1. Once logged in, you’ll see the cPanel dashboard.
2. Look for the “Domains” section. The specific location may vary depending on your cPanel theme, but you should find it easily.

Step 5: Connect Domain Name Servers (DNS)

1. In the “Domains” section, click on “Zone Editor” or “DNS Zone Editor,” depending on your cPanel version.
2. Locate the domain name you want to connect or edit.
3. Click “Edit” or “Manage.”
4. Update the Name Servers with the DNS information provided by your domain registrar or hosting provider. Typically, these are in the format `ns1.yourhostingprovider.com` and `ns2.yourhostingprovider.com`.
5. Save your changes.

6. In some cases we have to create a domain in our WordPress Domain Section so here are 2 steps as shown in pics these steps also used for creating a Sub-domain.

2. Look for the “Softaculous Apps Installer” or “WordPress Installer” icon, often found under the “Software” or “Web Applications” section.
